Σου γράφω γιατί χρειάζομαι επειγόντως βοήθεια. Εδώ και κάποιο καιρό δραστηριοποιούμαι μέσα από την Fairplanet, μια ανθρωπιστική οργάνωση η οποία απαρτίζεται αποκλειστικά και μόνο από εθελοντές. Τα μέλη λιγοστά αλλά φιλότιμα, χωρίς τσιριμόνιες και φιοριτούρες. Σκοπός της οργάνωσης να προσφέρει, δίχως καμία προκατάληψη, ανθρωπιστικό έργο και παρέμβαση αλληλεγγύης σε πληθυσμούς που βρίσκονται σε κίνδυνο, ανεξάρτητα από τη φυλή, το θρήσκευμα ή την εθνικότητα τους. Τον Ιανουάριο συγκεντρώθηκε ένας μεγάλος όγκος βασικών φαρμάκων μετά από τη συγκινητική ανταπόκριση των απλών, «καθημερινών» ανθρώπων σε έκκληση μας στο διαδίκτυο. Έτσι, η οργάνωση μας υλοποίησε πρόγραμμα ιατρικής και φαρμακευτικής βοήθειας στη Λωρίδα της Γάζας, αμέσως μετά τους βομβαρδισμούς. Μαθήματα δημοσιογραφίας

εν προκειμένω απο τον Αστέρη και άλλους φίλους bloggers και twitters. Αναδημοσιεύω απο τους New York Times που αναδημοσιεύουν το κείμενο του απο το Global Voices, στο οποίο αναδημοσιεύει ο ίδιος την δουλειά άλλων twitters που όλοι μαζί έψαξαν το θέμα της μεταφοράς όπλων στο Ισραήλ απο το λιμάνι του Αστακού. “With the war raging in Gaza, news reports earlier this month about the routing of an extraordinarily large shipment of arms from the United States to Israel through the private Greek port of Astakos caused an uproar among Greek bloggers. They used Twitter to investigate the matter and put pressure on the government to halt the transfer.

Delivery of the munitions was suspended, just as the Greek government was coming under fire from opposition parties, and Amnesty International was calling for an arms embargo.

At first, official sources contested the story from the international news agency Reuters on January 9. But it was picked up by Twitter users and investigated after Indy.gr – an offshoot of the Indymedia Athens group – provided a translation of the article in Greek.

Dear friends:

Israeli leaders intensified their blitzkrieg following intensive aerial “shock and awe” that killed hundreds of civilians. This was intended to subdue not only the 1.5 million impoverished and starved Palestinian but the larger human community around the world and reengineer the political map. After nine days, it is worth taking time to do some analysis in the middle of constant events (demonstrations, vigils, interviews with media). Those of you occupied doing actions for Palestine may not have time to read this while others have specifically asked for it. To make it easy for all, let me start with conclusions and then explain to those who want to read on:
